BIEFF and Jameson invite moviegoers to take part once again in the global competition Jameson Empire Done In 60 Seconds!

Every year BIEFF encourages and promotes the nonconformist artistic spirit: either we are talking about renowned artists that have made history in contemporary film – like Peter Greenaway – honorary president of BIEFF, or emerging ones, that have the audacity to experiment by various artistic means.

In this context, BIEFF supports Jameson’s initiative to offer a playground for film lovers as well as professionals to manifest themselves. The global film competition Jameson Empire Done In 60 Seconds calls for entries of film remakes of up to 60 seconds, at until the 20th of January. Professionals and amateurs alike can choose to illustrate any famous film, either a sample of cinematographic genius or not, and to reflect it in a serious or parody style way.

The winners from Romania will be chosen by vote of a local jury, comprised of cinema and communications specialists and by public vote, expressed through the number of likes on the official YouTube channel.

The best 3 works from Romania will collect awards totaling 4.500 euros for the authors. The first prize winner will receive 2.000 EUR and a trip to London, at Global Final Jameson Empire Done In 60 Seconds. The second prize winner will receive 1500 euros, and the wineer of 3th prize will receive 1000 euro.

At the Global Final Competition, the Romanian movies will compete with movies from 16 other countries. An international jury composed of stars of cinema will choose the best five entries from the competition.

The 5 global finalists will attend Jameson Empire Gala in London. Here will be assigned and the big winner of the competition. The prizes will be received on stage, just like all the other Jameson Empire Award winners.

More details can be found on and on the Jameson Romania Facebook page, on the competition tab.

Good luck and daring experimentation!
